Olesen holds off Wood to win Sicilian Open (AP) Apr 1st 2012, 14:59 Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark shot a final round 69 to win the Sicilian Open by 1 shot, holding off England's Chris Wood who equaled the course record with an 8-under 64 on Sunday. Olesen finished with an overall 15-under 273 at the Verdura Golf resort and spa to earn his first career victory on the European Tour.
